Mission Statement:
To assist the mobility disabled and their carers to have inhome interactive access to email and the Internet so they can be better informed about advocacy, home help & in house care, professional services, self education improvement, living & financial skills, disability services, support groups and chat groups. "Internet Empowerment" will be a bridge for participants to a better perspective of community. BDI Internet program will facilitate community participation, self help education and employment-from-home opportunities by increasing knowledge and access to resources.

Description:
On 9/9/06 RPDS changed its name to Beyond Disability Inc. (BDI) A community volunteer program providing inhome interactive communication to help housebound mobility disabled and elderly disabled to get online in their own homes using recycled computers. BDI provides and maintains all the equipment. BDI brings the world into the homes of the housebound & mobility disabled on their own terms, when they want, and at the same time and more importantly whilst maintaining their dignity. BDI gives the participants the ability to contact support groups worldwide at nominal cost for lifestyle and illnesses ie: Multiple sclerosis., Motor Neurone Disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, paraplegia, stroke etc.; to do online shopping; library access; tele-health; Government & business websites and one of the most important – to re-establish contact with friends & Relatives using E-mail & Chat.
