Description:
Supporting people to remain independent for as long as possible is our passion. We provide this support to people at home and in the community. Every day we support people through our nursing, allied health, personal care, respite staff, counselling staff and volunteers. Trained volunteers have an important role within Blue Care by supporting clients through social contact and with direct assistance with everyday activities such as reading, music, transport etc. The invaluable support provided by our volunteers helps maintain clients` quality of life. Volunteers can assist with the activities such as: Support visits: Visiting clients on a regular basis and providing social support and practical assistance such as shopping for the client. Transport assistance: Using their own vehicles to transport clients to shops, medical appointments and other outings. Clerical assistance: Assisting staff at centres with data entry, photocopying, filing etc.
