Mission Statement:
STATEMENT OF PURPOSES
The purposes for which Kinders Together Association is established are:-
•Provide access to ANY eligible child within the community, a high quality kindergarten program that is affordable, culturally diverse and inclusive.
•To value and encourage parental participation at each service, and at a management level.
•To ensure all staff a professional, safe and supportive place of employment.
Description:
Kinders Together is a not for profit organisation that manages a number of local kindergartens.
In October 2005, 4 centres, Bunyip, Lang Lang, Nar Nar Goon and Longwarry put in their submission to the Department with approval being given by the end of that year.
By June of that same year, Bayles Preschool had joined KTAI.
The rationale behind the formation of Kinders Together (KTAI) was:
• Take pressure off individual member kindergartens;
• Assist committees of member kindergartens;
• Take care of licensing and regulations;
• Employment of teachers;
• Economies of scale arising out of the formation of a cluster;
• Make sure that member kindergartens remained financial;
• Bigger voice for member kindergartens.
In January 2007, the newly built Lakeside Children’s Centre became the 6th member centre and in October of that year, Koo Wee Rup Preschool and Pakenham Kinder also joined.
In January 2008, Pakenham Springs Children’s Centre became our 9th member centre, with Emerald Preschool coming on board at the end of 2008 to make a cluster of 10!
In 2009, Pakenham Heights and Avonsleigh preschools joined so we currently have 12 kindergartens in the cluster.
