Description:
Blue Care is extremely fortunate to have the support of over 2,500 volunteers who generously donate their time and talents to our services.
Trained volunteers have an important role within Blue Care by supporting clients through social contact and with direct assistance with everyday activities. Volunteers assist clients still living in their own homes, or they assist in one of our day respite centres or residential complexes.
The invaluable support provided by our volunteers helps maintain our clients` quality of life.
Volunteers can choose from a range of interesting roles, such as: social support visits, transport to medical appointments, shopping assistance, day respite centres, residential complexes, and clerical assistance in our offices.
Volunteering for Blue Care opens up a world of opportunities for you to help others, gain invaluable experience, and to develop your skills.
To become a volunteer you will be initially interviewed by a Blue Care Volunteer Coordinator to ensure that your skills and interests are matched within an environment that will be most rewarding to you. Volunteers undergo 2 referee checks and a Federal Police Check.
