Description:
Barnardos is Australia`s leading child welfare agency. Barnardos Australia have been providing services to protect and improve the lives of children/ young people since 1954. Barnardos Queanbeyan currently has the following programs: Kids` Friends - Mentoring & Tutoring; Adolescent & Family Counselling; family support in Queanbeyan, Cooma and Monaro regions; and a Homework Club for Indigenous children. Kids` Friends is seeking volunteers to mentor/ tutor children one-on-one for 1 year (minimum). Volunteers need to be over 20 yrs and willing to undergo police & child protection checks. Volunteers receive training and ongoing support from Barnardos.
