Description:
Blue Care is on the Australia`s largest providers of community health and residential aged care. As an outreach of the Uniting Church in Australia, Blue Care is committed to quality holistic care services that express Christian values and address clients physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs. The organisation provides care to 1 in 45 Queenslanders and operates 365 days a year. Services include allied health, Blue Nursing, community care packages, disablity services, pallative care, pastoral care and counselling, residential aged care, respite care, and volunteer support services. Services are available to all members of the community regardless of socio-economic, ethnic, religious or spiritual background. The people assisted include frail older people, younger people with disabilities, and others in need within the general community. The organisation has 250 centres throughout Queensland and the Tweed region of northern New South Wales. Services extend as far as Mossman in the north to Longreach, Cunnamulla and Mt Isa in the West, to the Tweed coast in the south. Best known for its in-home nursing service - Blue Nursing, Blue Care is an integral part of the communities it serves.
