City East Community College - Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program

Mentor - IT

  • Skilled Migrant Mentoring Program - City East Community College

People with overseas qualifications often face obstacles when looking for work in their profession here in Australia, particularly when English is their second language, they have no local work experience and networks. They need to become familiar with the workings of the labour market and learn about local workplace culture and practice.

Many of our current clients are IT professionals who are waiting to be connected to a mentor who can guide them on their way to employment. This is not a huge commitment of time but it will make such a difference in enabling a newcomer to Australia to resume their career.

This program is proudly funded by the NSW Adult Migrant English Service (AMES), NSW Department of Education and Training and delivered in partnership with Adult and Community Education.

If you can help an overseas professional gain invaluable local industry knowledge by offering one-to-one mentoring, please apply.

This Volunteering Opportunity is located in the 2022 postcode.
